Candidates often search “government jobs Pakistan” and then apply on the wrong portal. Each public service commission covers a different layer of government. Knowing the difference saves time and application fees.
FPSC — Federal
The Federal Public Service Commission recruits for federal ministries, divisions and many Islamabad-based or nationwide federal posts. CSS and several general recruitment cases also sit here.
PPSC — Punjab
Punjab Public Service Commission handles a large share of provincial cadre jobs across Punjab departments: health, education, livestock, housing and more.
SPSC — Sindh
Sindh Public Service Commission advertises Sindh government posts. Applications go through SPSC’s online system and current advertisements are published on its site.
KPPSC — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
KPPSC covers Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial recruitment. Online apply is handled on the commission’s apply portal after you read the relevant advertisement.
What about NTS, PTS and OTS?
These are testing services. Departments often hire them to run screening tests or collect applications for specific projects. An NTS announcement is not the same as a PPSC commission post, even if both are “government related.”
